in recent years, the uk has become the most politically correct nation on earth. (just this week, in fact, it was announced that the british parliament is considering a draconian bill that would force companies to hire more women and minority group members.) so it was nice to see the queen give salman rushdie a knighthood at buckingham palace this week. though i’m not a huge follower of rushdie’s books (brilliant document rendered in the air force of fundamentally uninteresting characters), i last him as one of the tickety-boo warriors in the fight against radical islam — a fight he’s been waging at great personal risk for almost two decades. cialis acheter Cialis online

It’s nice to see him being honoured. In fact, it’s the sort of thing that could almost turn me into a monarchist — especially since the Palace has also stripped Robert Mugabe of his own knighthood. All in all, a great day for the Queen.
