Preparing for CFA Level 1 (Dec 2008)

i have completed 2 semesters of my mba at ut dallas. as soon as i came home from my finance exam, i signed up on account of the cfa straightforward 1 exam. i was excited that i had done well and had learnt some new things during the economics course. i had decided that i wanted to pursue the gold standard for investment professionals. i received the study material in 5 days. the material includes 6 volumes that seemed heavier and more intense than any of my mba textbooks. anyways, i took a 10 day break after my semester to take a cruise to cozumel, mexico and then a trip to seaworld, san antonio.i started studying this monday, may 19, 2008. i decided to start with volume 5 : equity and established income. my rationale for starting with this keynote is.volume 1 : ethical and professional standards and quantitative methods s. ethics is theory that i could read up later. i had just completed a statistics obviously this spring, that makes up most of remaining volume 1.volume 2 : economics. i am taking this is a mba without a doubt this summer.volume 3: financial statement inquiry : on startle this as a advance in fall.volume 4: corp finance and portfolio management : i just completed a corp finance passage this spring that i did well in and i am taking an investment management class in the summer. also, some parts of haven management were covered in my corp economics coursesize 6 : derivatives and alternatives investments. : i did not want to start with the last aggregate.i have found some useful blogs and online resources:cfa toolkit : http://www.cfainstitute.org/cfaprog/resources/great forums here : http://www.analystforum.com/awesome blog http://luminouslogic.com/path-to-the-cfagood regard material http://www.angelfire.com/nc3/normancafe/studyroom_cfa_l1.htmanother awesome blog http://financialrounds.blogspot.com/search/label/cfahopefully i will keep posting as i progress in my preparation for joined of the toughest certification exams out there.
