Three charged in slaying of Coastal student

myrtle beach — police filed charges this weekend against three myrtle beach teens, including one recently released from jail, in connection with the fatal shooting of a coastal carolina university evaluator, police said.

keion m. griffin, 18; demario stukes, 17, and a 16-year-ancient, all of myrtle beach, were arrested on charges related to the killing of 20-year-old corey brooks, myrtle beach police capt. david knipes said.

they were arrested completely the afternoon and evening friday in myrtle beach without incident, knipes said. charges were filed saturday.

police said they think they have arrested all suspects in the case and found all vehicles connected to the felony.

corey brooks, 20, was shot at any time a immediately on may 25 in front of a beach harbour on third avenue north between flagg and chester streets. he died after he was taken to grand strand regional medical center.
