The Lucky Ones DVD Review

lionsgate films presents the lucky ones, a film from the the director of the illusionist neil burger, on dvd january 27th. this compelling story of three soldiers back on leave from iraq who find themselves engaged in a crave and revealing freeway trip was an official election of the 2008 toronto steam birthday.sergeant tk poole (michael pena) is granted a 1-month leave to go visit his fiance following a cover to his “private” area. a coincidental delay out of a new york airport leaves fellow servicemen cheever (tim robbins) and colee (rachel mcadams) stuck in the same airport with poole. cheever decides he is not active to wait around for the delays to extremity. he works out a rental car and plans to make the 14 hour hustle accessible to st. louis. poole and colee decide they do not want to sit still either, and agree to ride along and catch a level in st. louis.it does not infer long for the three companions to realize they share some pent up feelings of annoy, woe, uncertainty, and relationship dissatisfaction. upon his return home, cheever learns that his wife wants a split up and his son needs $20,000 (that cheever does not have) so he can go to stanford. shocked at the new developments, cheever commits to cover his son’s needs and heads off to descend upon his brother in utah. seeing their fellow soldier in pain, poole and colee decide to dally their own plans and ride achat de cialis en ligne along to utah. poole is not wary to see his fiance since he does not be sure if all of his parts are working. colee is on her way to las vegas to see a dead to the world friend’s relatives and manumit a guitar he owned.as the journey develops, the soldiers are faced with the reality of where they came from and the fact that things are not the same now that they have returned home. despite their ongoing feuds, the three press much in vulgar. they are all faced with overcoming their emotional burdens and moving forward with their lives.the charmed ones is a brilliant overlay with a yarn that is brilliantly played evasion by a threesome of admirable actors. tim robbins, not broadly a favorite actor, was excellent as the more mature member of the order. michael pena is a solid junior actor. he effectively balanced the naive tough guy with the affectionate man. rachel mcadams was great. she was able to find a subdued and tender “girl next door” persona to go along with the hardened, uneducated soldier role. this was an impressive performance from her the truth its sharp contrast from her lines in the notebook and other recent movies she has been in. the lucky ones is a captivating adventure with many clever and entertaining moments throughout.mpaa rating: rmeet time: 115 minutesdvd release date: january 27, 2009grade: a-starring: tim robbins, michael pena, rachel mcadamsconcert-master: neil burgerreviewed by neil
