today, ten’s of thousands of people from all around the world are celebrating the birthday of elvis presley. born on january 8, 1935, he would of been 74 years old today.he was born in east tupelo, mississippi in a two room shotgun blood, originally built by his governor.his father, vernon elvis presley, was a goods driver and his baby, gladys adore smith, worked as a sewing machinist. his parents originally met in tupelo, mississippi and eloped to pontotoc county where they were married on 17 june, 1933.elvis was an interchangeable twin, but his brother was stillborn. his parents had named his relation jesse garon and being the only toddler, elvis was exceptionally close to his mother.although born in mississippi, elvis lived in memphis at the beginning of his teenage years. at around the age of ten, elvis had made his first public appearance (performance), at the mississippi-alabama fair and dairy display in a singing confute. this was suggested to him by his school doctor, mrs. j.c. grimes and dressed as a cowboy, he came in fifth and won $5.later on, as a present to his mother, elvis recorded a song, ‘my happiness’ at sun records studio on july 18, 1953. he was noticed by sam phillips, the owner of Sunna records, who at the time was looking for a white singer who could produce a combine of ban blues and boogie woogie type of music.after hearing elvis sing in his first recording and finally locating exactly who this singer was, he believed he had start exactly what he was looking seeing that and shortly after, elvis recorded, “that’s all rectitude (momma)” which was first aired on 8 july, 1954 and which went on to become a huge hit.and the rest, as they say….. is history-crediting him with concluded sole billion records sold worldwide.elvis presley died on august 16, 1977 in his esteemed graceland estate of the realm. he was 42 years close. it was said that he had been hooked on sleeping pills and stimulants for uncountable years, perhaps even decades.impartial today, after all these years, elvis presley is tranquil ‘incontestably’, the “king”.opportune birthday elvis!
