hello, this is assemblymember noreen evans with an noteworthy declaration from the assembly democrats.as state legislators attempt to pass a state budget, new developments are making our job much more bloody-minded.justifiable this week, the receiver acting under a federal judgeâs order to fix californiaâs dreadful prison health care system demanded $8 billion to strengthen seven latest salubrity care facilities over the next 5 years. he wants $3 billion from this yearâs budget acheter cialis merely. and, there is nothing we can do to stop it.this makes our putrefied budget situation straightforward worse. with another $3 billion added to our current budget shortfall of $17 billion dollars, there are no easy choices present. republicans oversimplify the challenge coating californiaâs finances by saying that we can cut spending to balance our budget. but that would require cutting nearly 1/5 of our stateâs budget. imagine the affect on our schools, parks, hospitals and public refuge.meanwhile, republicans have offered no plan to avoid savage the basic services californians expect from their command. and to the present time republicans refuse to consider raising any new revenues. measure than focusing on the challenges facing this yearâs budget, republicans are calling for a strict spending excel. but this is nothing more than a cynical attempt to strangle californiaâs vital services. and, it couldnât advance at a worse in the good old days b simultaneously.a spending cap would limit our ability to boost low-return seniors as more and more californians reach retirement years. a spending cap would throw needy and sick children out of our robustness care system at a time when more and more californians are uninsured. a spending cap would prevent us from educating our children even though we all know better schools are needed to keep us competitive in our global economy.

And, letâs not forget that there are simply some things in life that cannot be planned for but that demand action. This yearâs devastating wildfires, for instance, have shown us how much we rely on our stateâs firefighters to protect us. Their brave service is not a luxury we can cut from the budget. Itâs a necessity we canât afford to lose.We are now a month and a half past the deadline to adopt a budget. Instead of a coming forward with ideas to reach a compromise, we continue to see slogans and ultimatums from our Republican colleagues. Their continued theatrics show a lack of respect for the people of California. The budget belongs to the people. It needs to start working for the people. But that canât happen until Republicans stop grandstanding and come back to the negotiating table. We need them to bring their calculators and their ideas. But in order to craft a bipartisan budget together, we need them to come with a spirit of compromise and in good faith negotiations. The Assembly Democrats are ready, willing, and able to negotiate for the good of all Californians. We Democrats put our budget proposal on the table over a month ago. But we are still waiting for Republicans to return the favor. Itâs time for them to come clean with California. Until they do, we canât crank out a bipartisan budget agreement. We canât negotiate with nothing. If youâd like to urge Republican lawmakers to come clean with California, they can be contacted through this website: www.legislature.ca.gov.
