Oh-Oh, Chongo! Banana Splits Making Comeback
Cartoon Network reached into the crypts of NBC Saturday afternoons long since lost to reanimate that bizarre mix of costumed slapstick, surreal late-1960s psychedelia and traditional Hanna-Barbera Cartoons, >The Banana Splits.
Premiering this week and running with more than 130 comedic shorts to air between Cartoon Network and Boomerang shows, Bingo, Drooper, Fleegle and Snork(y) are back in a multimedia revival featuring the familiar rock band made up of a gorilla, lion, beagle and elephant (respectively).
