New england patriots

Watching the Jets last weekend, I felt like a proud parent watching their kid dominate a youth sports league. Last year there weren’t many times I could walk around campus in my Kerry Rhodes jersey after a victory, running my mouth about how good my team was. Over the last two weeks the Jets have looked like one of the best teams in the NFL. Yet, nobody will take them seriously as a contender until they can beat the New England Patriots, who remain Kings of the AFC East.
Is tomorrow night the night when the balance of power finally shifts to a different team? Does Bellicheck have a master game plan that will again compensate for his team’s lack of talent due to injury, or will the Jets put together a complete performance that New England won’t have an answer for?
I think tomorrow night is going to be one of the few great nights in Jets history. A night that will vindicate the decisions the team made this off-season. I see the Jets offense running the ball consistently on the Patriots. I see Brett Favre having his first big game in a few weeks, as he is constantly able to find Jerricho Cotchery, Laveranues Coles, and Dustin Keller against a weak Pats secondary. I see Leon Washington ripping off one big play, like he always does and stepping up to convert a few key third downs.
When New England has the ball, BenJarvis Green-Ellis won’t have more than 50 yards rushing. The Pats will move the ball on their short passes and screens to Wes Welker and Kevin Faulk, but won’t be able to hit the big play. They are going to resemble the Jets last season, putting together long drives that eventually end up in a field goal or turnover and ultimately not putting up enough points for a victory. Matt Cassel will turn the ball over and set the Jets up for easy points at least once tomorrow night.
Obviously, tomorrow will be no walk in the park. Yet, there is going to be a moment in the 4th quarter where it is the Jets, not the Patriots, who make the big play that puts the game out of reach.
Predicion: Jets - 21 New England - 13
