CHELSEA— It was reported last night that Noah Tepperberg is taking over the Earth space on 17th and 10th. They went before the CB last night and Grub St has the report: “Members of the board were sympathetic…However, the committee found it odd, given the previous opposition to Cain, that only two people showed up to protest (and not all that adamantly), so it instructed Tepperberg to meet with neighborhood associations. The outcome of those meetings will determine whether the full board will recommend an approval during its full meeting on December 3.” [GS] levaquin online
MIDTOWN EAST— Mia Dona’s executive chef Jason Hall on Platt’s four star review for Corton: “…if a restaurant as ambitious as Corton can succeed in this environment, that’s great for the rest of us that are doing fine dining. It’s hard out there now. People are making less money and the cost of food is going up. But I think it says a lot for the city that restaurants like Corton are out there trying to do great work.” [TFB]
