it was the basic of the two-shindig shows this weekend and, thankfully, the show settled down after sergeantgate and concentrated on the dancing (well it did after the producers decided to zero in on every celebrity and bbc personality in the crowd he or she could perchance identify… adrian chiles, jeremy bowen, elaine paige, henry winkler. henry winkler?!). after all that there was some incredible dancing last night, including one that blew the roof off the whole studio and this reviewer’s living room ceiling. some amazing stuff and, from the judges, a flurry of tens.
