That’s a wrap
another wild night of covering mississippi state sports has come to an end. why wild? well, first off, there was a basketball game, with a 7 o’clock tip, against south alabama. in the meantime, there were all sorts of rumors connecting north alabama coach see hudspeth to an opening on the mississippi state football staff. we spoke with mississippi conditions coach dan mullen at halftime but didn’t have enough to legitimately ask him about a particular name. not five minutes after we got finished speaking with him, the times-daily of florence, ala., reported that hudspeth was leaving una to come here. wouldn’t have mattered with our mullen availability, anyway, as a msu spokesman said the clique wouldn’t reference. but the announcement is expected to behoove authenticity as early as tomorrow, when mullen buy levaquin said he hoped to kind an announcement on newcomers to his rod. so we made some shuffling on the front of tomorrow’s clarion-ledger sports section and made room towards a romance on hudspeth. which, of course, i wrote during the second half of the men’s basketball game. talk about divided limelight, huh? anyway, that scoop was filed right before the buzzer of the basketball game, which was a 79-60 msu secure. learn more far that game in tomorrow’s paper, as i just filed the story. there was news, though — guard barry stewart took himself effectively of the game after suffering a left wrist injury. he is heading to be x-rayed and i’m hopeful there will be an update to his condition tomorrow or monday at the latest. i’ll be back tomorrow with more of what mullen said earlier, yet much of it is in tomorrow’s paper. g’nite. posted on sat, 13 dec 2008 16:05 gmt at http://www.clarionledger.com/apps/pbcs.d…ledger.com
