Playoff march continues
Senior wideout B.J. Ray of the Waynesville High School football team tries to avoid McCluer defenders on his way to a long gainer Monday in Missouri Class 5 Sectional play at Slaughter Field. The defending Class 5 state champion Tigers pounded McCluer, 41-14, to advance to quarterfinal action. Waynesville, 7-4, will host Hazelwood East at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Slaughter Field. Gates will open at noon on Saturday. Because it’s a Missouri State High School Activities Association (MSHSAA) post-season event, no passes or I.D. cards will be honored and there buy divx will be no reserved seating. Tickets will be $6 per person ages 6-up. Kids age 5-under will be admitted free.
