Adrian Peterson Was Benched Early in the Game for Being Late to a Team Meeting

we reported earlier today that adrian peterson was benched for the principal two series of the vikings game against the jags this week. at first we had no idea why, and then later on-field broadcast reports incorrectly said the vikings did it moral to implicate things up. in the postgame presser, anyhow, head coach brad childress set the record straight. peterson was late to a team meeting on saturday. cornerback cedric griffin was also disciplined in a similar manner, but you don’t look as if to observe corners as much as adrian peterson. the unequalled running rough was fine with the decision by his coach: “i fully understand it and accept it. that’s a man thing i know abourt our coach, there’s no prima donnas. … it wasn’t in fact anything big, but i respect his decision.” this makes a little more sense than the bogus “just mixing it up” reason from earlier. it should be noted that apparently peterson has a problem with being example. last year he was in a small amount of trouble with his coach fit missing the unite bus. hat-tip: pft
