Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull

~~~~~~~~~~~~~going for the thrill - one model time~~~~~~~~~~after david cook became the creative american idol, i acclaimed by going to the midnight showing of indiana jones and the kingdom of the crystal skull. it was sound that i went first since the place was packed. i have at no time been to midnight shows - like lord of the rings or star wars - and i felt that there was a more relaxed, festive aerosphere. i looked around and noticed that there were some ‘older’ people there - you know, my age. as i waited in the service of the movie to enter on i tinge back twenty years. my favorite scene out of the three indiana jones movies was near the end of the last holy war when indy was trying to awaken the chamber of the grail, and he stepped out onto the bridge of faith. then his enounter with the grail knight, choosing the chalice, and finding that it would improve his father.then the cinema started. when i first saw harrison ford, and throughout the movie, i couldn’t stop thinking that he looked esteemed. handsome and elegant, yes, but old. i’m trustworthy it was because he represented the passage of time in the course of me, and not just instead of him. actually it was a good thing, because time does pass and we all eventually get old (if we live that long), so there was harrison ford up there on the big screen, and it seemed to say - at least for me - that’s flavour so get as surplus it.i loved the film. i loved it because it was the pattern one (well do you meditate on he will make a run for it one at 85?). i thought it was like a parting gift to everyone. to the actors, the director, the producers and the audience. most of all i loved the jokes, ones that you could connect with the earlier films. my favorite was when they were in quicksand and his son threw missing a snake conducive to him to hold onto, but indy hates snakes so he said, call it a rope. then he could bring himself to grab it.there was complete and satisfying closure at the cut off. mutt was his son, they brought back marion (i had an instant flashback of her putting down shots in her tavern in nepal), marcus and dad are remembered, and then of course there was the wedding. with ‘junior’ contemplating picking up dad’s hat but not having the incidental. and you have to be amazed - will he get his instruction?as i left the theater, there were several slight groups of indiana jones fans hanging out by their cars - as if they wanted to hold on to the experience just a little longer.indiana jones/harrison ford - thanks for the memories.
