Netflix: 1 Million Subscribers Streaming Via Xbox 360 (NFLX, MSFT)
An impressive milestone for movie rental service Netflix: Some one million subscribers have downloaded and activated the Netflix (NFLX) app for Microsoft’s (MSFT) Xbox 360 videogame console.
In less than three months, Xbox users have streamed more than 1.5 billion minutes of Netflix movies and TV shows.
What does this mean?
One interesting stat Netflix isn’t sharing: The percent of these Xbox users who are new to Netflix. As in, people who subscribed to Netflix specifically because they could watch movies via Xbox. We don’t think it’s the majority of the 1 million, but even if it’s a few hundred thousand, that’s really good news for Netflix.

SNAPSHOT: crazy, mixed-up day in Raynham school
Friday was a crazy mixed-up day at LaLiberte Elementary School in Raynham. The students were crazily clad. They arrived at school decked in rainbow-colored shirts and plaid pajamas, green curly wigs and orange-spotted top hats. The teachers were bedecked in even more bedlamesque style, exhibiting very nongrownup behavior in their deer stalker hats and mouse ears. In mid-December, teacher Sandy Tsika challenged her third-grade students to read. She told them they would earn a gingerbread cut-out for every book they read. If the gingerbread men reached from the second floor of the school down to a gingerbread house on the main bulletin board on the first floor, the students could choose their reward. The entire school joined the challenge. A month later the children had read 732 books. The gingerbread men snaked from all the way down the stairwell to the board near the front entrance to the school. The youngsters claimed their winnings.

click above for gallery of this special svt thunderbirdit might not be the very anything else production thunderbird ever made, but it is a pretty special t-bird nonetheless, and it is up on account of auction, not at barrett-jackson, but measure on ebay motors. item digit 190283235126 is a rare, 1 of 4, 1995 ford thunderbird svt concept prototype. the breed tells us that the other three were crushed by the bawdy oval, making this the solitary survivor. what makes this svt concept special is the locomotive. it features a turbocharged 4.8l v8 instead of the supercharged v6 that went into the production thunderbird sc. black with a gray leather secret, it appears to have aged well, with nearly 70,000 miles on the clock. the car has been with one owner for the duration of the past ten years and was featured in makes & models magazine in 2005. unfortunately, it has a scattering non-stock “upgrades,” including a racing inflame cell and a fiberglass hood with an airbrushed bird on the underside. check out the gallery and click more than if you feel its worth at least the $30,000 starting price.
