Why kneel down?

OK I’ve had it with the offensive coaching staff. In particular, the coach or coaches who insist on having the quarterback take a knee when they think the defense is offside. What in God’s name is the purpose for this? Why not keep playing and maybe throw the stinking ball down field. If it’s a penalty, and the ball is incomplete, great, take the 5 damn yards. If you keep playing and somehow complete the pass, then you decline the lousy 5 yards and take the play.

Of course if you’re the idiot Bengals, you take a knee, there is no flag, and you lose a down at a critical point in the game.

That’s not the first time that’s happened either. The Bengals, shockingly enough, are the only team dumb enough to keep doing this. OVER AND OVER. WHY???? Oh, that’s right, because the coaching staff is stupid.

I’m not saying the Bengals would have won. They clearly were overmatched. But, it’s the little things like this that is making them a bad team. Little things add up and the Bengals do a lot of little things wrong. Of course, they do a lot of big things wrong, too…but you catch my point.

I know the babysitter and his team scored 27 points, but they weren’t easy points. The Bengals defense actually looked pretty good for about three quarters. I even said to a friend that I really like what Zimmer is doing with little talent available.

I just wish the team would get a better offensive coordinator…oh and a coach with the sack to actually TRY to win. I applaud you for taking a stand against ocho idiotico, but come on, Marvin. Take a shot to WIN!!!
