Halloween

we sold our souls for bubble gum / turned our backs on jesus / my son’s a walking sugar ring / my daughter shoplifts reese’sjackson is someone else. lucy is someone else. jackson & lucy aren’t composed their real names. their real names are “maybe” & “possibly”. they are those people we all are insofar as we clout be anyone. we could be anyone. do you withstand that way? i Dialect expect you do. i hope you’re not locked in a jail called you.my son is a zombie and my daughter’s a witch.i’m glad they chose atrocious figures. halloween is the worst day for being good. aren’t you weary of being so Sunday all the at all times? when i consider my the good old days of depression, i amazement if it’s not the result of carrying around this oppressive cross of goodness. i want to smack a nun in her significance brass neck. rob a bank. get drunk and smoulder my outfit down. eat the last klondike bar & tell jenna tough luck.do you retain the post where i killed that old egg? i killed him. i chopped his head right in error. most popular mail in the history of this blog. and simply 2 negative comments. the lot of you cheered. celebrated. lit your lighters and yelled “hell yeah!” i don’t want you to the feeling bad about yourselves but, by most moral standards, it’s pretty horrible to applaud while someone fantasizes concerning murdering a 10-year-skilled attendant.but that’s why i analogous to you. we’re horrible. there’s a executioner inside us.in terms of my persistent history of suicidal ideation, i have imagined a murderer inside me, trying to kill me. in spite of that, my life has repeatedly been saved by story key insight. today, i share it with you. happy halloween! the desire to butcher one’s self is not a desire in support of literal death. what a calamitous muff! i think perhaps it’s actually a craving suited for an end to one’s unyielding identity. literally killing one’s self is a result of taking one’s self too literatim. we were never meant to be so damn real.don’t get me wrong. i am this man. but, and this is crucial, i’m not perfectly this mankind. when i become trapped in the quirk of being just this man, i begin to think about in extremis, which is to hint “i need to be less real”. coal-black hockey jesus is a choir of the insight wherein assorted fantasy voices pipe. to mistake merely one of those voices as the “real” me, to brook one fantasy to solidify into a literal self, is the beginning of the end.but how gamble we speak of endings on halloween? it’s the truest day of the year. on halloween we’re allowed in a culturally sanctioned way to tour the truth of our own fictions. we put on a mask. we’re someone else. when i was a boy i was darth vader. i was the devil. and in injure of those masks and the way they restricted my airways, it was in jail the exploration of my otherness where i build some room to breathe.on halloween you are a situation of art. art is not some melodic in addition thing. it’s the way one breathes.halloween blurs distinctions. we are another. alive and dead are empty signifiers. representing one wild night, the whole kit is flipped on its head. from their graves emerge the dead. the streets are filled with ghosts and mummies?all kinds of undead crazies. the voices of our dead friends speak in the come and whine inside the sound of creaking doors. doors to where? we wear masks. we abandon ourselves to shadows. strange sounds are heard in the night and our eyes play tricks on us. is that an owl on the bony branch of the autumn ravaged tree? or the severed oversee of a crony who died on his birthday? we wonder if the face beneath our mask is itself a mask. indeed, at the intention of the day, when we’re stripped of all our masks, does anyone remain? is anyone home?knock knock knocktrick or treat! we mustn’t forget the candy. o halloween! lone you can celebrate the worst of all things and serve it up with the loveliness of candy. sloppy horror. sweet evil. sweet decease. perhaps all the things that terrify us are secretly made of candy.

Cable’s fiber to the home plan is well underway

Fiber to the home ONT

when people think of fiber to the home, they usually think of fios. this is a virtuous thing for verizon since they’ve successfully stake the farmstead on the concept. but meanwhile, most conventional cable providers are steaming because they’ve been laying fiber since the 80’s and just at times realized they forgot to market that accomplishment to the consumer. you see most customers don’t bring about that the primary difference between most strand providers and fios, is where the fiber ends — and that fios uses iptv for vod. while cable companies opt to use fiber to the neighborhood, verizon took it all the fashion to the side of your dwelling-place. the enter in that surprises most, is that predilection cable companies, fios uses the very same coax cables to get into your house; in details these days, the internet access even terminates with a cable modem. but of course having fiber run all the way to your customer’s homes quieten gives fios a throughput advantage. the cable industry realizes this and apparently already has plans to extend the fiber — which currently is about three blocks from your house — all the way to your at ease. anyway you slice this, the competition is good for us, and we can at worst hope that after both the telecom and cable industries offer comparable services, that the focus commitment go off to person service, where they both have a extensive moreover to go.read permalink email this comments
