The Catherine Vogt Experiment
Catherine Vogt, a 14-year-old in liberal Oak Park, Illinois, conducted a fascinating experiment by wearing a “McCain Girl” T-shirt to her 8th-grade classes and recording the reaction:
people were upset. but they started saying things, job me very ill-advised, telling me my shirt was stupid and i shouldn’t be wearing it. one person told me to go decrease. it was a oodles of dying. a lot of comments about how i should be killed. in one class, i had one schoolma’m say she will not judge me for my choice, but that she was surprised that i supported mccain. later, that teacher found discernible apropos the experiment and said she was embarrassed because she knew i was writing down what she said. [a student] said, “you should be crucifixed.” it was kind of funny because, i was close to, don’t you mean “crucified?”
Other suggestions included that she be “burned with her shirt on” for “being a filthy-rich Republican.” She was told that supporting McCain meant advocating the assassination of Obama. Those who had anything positive to say about the shirt had to whisper conspiratorially.
Phase 2 of the experiment called for wearing an “Obama Girl” shirt the next day. Needless to say, the reaction was friendlier, as Catherine was welcomed back into the herd.
When liberals gloat sanctimoniously about “inclusion,” what they mean is, we will all be included in the Obamaborg — no exceptions permitted.
