LA Kings defeat Anaheim Ducks 4-3. The Kings were leading 3-1 after the second period, and all looked well. In the third period the Ducks came back with Bobby Ryan adding two goals to the one he scored in the second for a hat trick. It seemed like the same old Kings blowing yet another game in the third period. But Alexander Frolov stemmed the Ducks’ momentum and scored a power play goal for the game winner. The Kings are now 17-17-6 and in 12th place in the conference. If they can stop giving away games in the third period, they stand a good chance of making it to the playoffs.

San Antonio Spurs defeat LA Clippers 106-84. Despite Eric Gordon and Al Thornton scoring 21 points each and leading after one quarter of play, the Spurs were just too much for the Clips to handle. The Clippers have now lost nine consecutive games, and unfortunately this game was televised here in LA.
