family reunion…cherries…and more!
we arrived with little home tonight, after duly celebrating our national event…we’ll soon be turning it into a week-long event! we packed a quantity into these last few days.

we spent a some days at a family reunion in oliver (located in canada’s only desert).

we ate cherries…
…and watermelon and rollkuchen, of course!

we sang “oh canada” in four part harmony…
…played ladder golf…and had a wonderful time catching up with those cousins we notice not every three years. oh yes…and did i indicate cherries?

i had sole model holiday before we vacated our campsite…okanagan cherries are the best!from oliver we drove through osooyoos…

…and east up a bloody hanker hill. from this vantage quality we could see osooyoos lake and the desert area we had straight left behind.

we passed by rolling pastures, with cattle grazing yon ‘the shack’…it reminded me of the book i was reading.yup…i inexorably read “the shack”! i’m still mulling through the version…but it assuredly makes one think. i’ll save that for another epoch.

we spent the mould few days at kettle river provincial park…camped next to the river and the lionized trans canada grow faint which runs alongside it.

we biked over trestle bridges and through grassy meadows…

…all relinquish of the old kettle valley rail route. we
