Four Mounties win tournament titles

32ND ANNUAL LITTLE FALLS INVITATIONAL LITTLE FALLS, N.Y. — Four Mounties won individual titles on their home mat and helped their team to a second-place finish Saturday at the 32nd annual Little Falls Invitational.Nik Reff repeated as an individual champion for Little Falls. Ricki Clemons, Matt Herringshaw and Derrick Snell were first time winners. Clemons took home the most outstanding wrestler award for the lower weights after pinning Dolgeville’s top-seeded Daniel Haughton, an opponent who had beaten him twice previously this season, in the finals. Herringshaw, a top seed himself at 96 pounds, pinned Dolgeville’s Tyler Christman in the finals while the 189-pound Snell pinned Oneida’s Carl Finch in the finals after upsetting a No. 1 seed in the semifinals.Reff, the 2008 champion at 125 pounds, moved up one class and pinned Mt. Markham;s Sean Noble 52 seconds into the final bout of the night to claim the 130-pound crown.The Mounties amassed 209 team points and finished second behind Syracuse’s Corcoran High School. Corcoran placed 10 wrestlers in the finals and had champions in seven of the 15 weight classes. Mt.
